I was walking through life finding things to find, looking at things to look at, and I came across a little crystal ball, I looked inside and found a word, it was sad and long, old and new, big and small, complete. I saw within the word a tear and a laugh intertwine into a single note of a turbulent melody, I saw a child and a adult, and someone in between, I saw a river and smoke, and I saw a planet, one insignificant spot of matter in a universe of much more significant spots of matter. I saw a burning fire spread and kill, and I saw the fire in the human soul. I saw the Ice expand and freeze the world, and I saw the ice in the eyes of a man who has lost it all. I saw a garden and a dog, and a street and a truck. I saw a castle, a hut, a tent, and a suite. I saw many things in REALITY, and so many hurt, but then I saw a child laugh, and I thought it couldn't be that bad.

Homo Homini Lupus Est, Hobbes said that in a state of natural evolution a natural man (forgive me for being redundant) would be a wolf to man , meaning, if men want the same things, and we do, after all we are ambitious by nature, then we seek to destroy our neighbor to get what we want. Hobbes' concept of State is the passing of man's reactive imperium into the hands of an entity belonging to a community, and so the a fore mentioned man integrates into said community. But, who ends up with the power the others surrender to the State? Who is, what is this State? Simple, it depends on whether you inhabit a monarchy, aristocracy, parliamentary democracy, direct democracy, representative democracy or some other "form of State"; however all these are conformed of men, lupus, men who, no matter how educated are always, in nature, going to be Wolves. So the "common man" has given in his reactive power (self defense) to be accepted into the society or community at hand, and it has been transfered to "the State" ( becomes State defense), then the State is a Wolf with the "legitimate"  power (because technically the common man has accepted the State) of as many wolves as are now "civilized men" (dispossessed of the lupine power) under him.

Now, following this train of thought, it would be better if a Civilized man were the state, but what makes a man a wolf is power. So this much isn't possible.

And as Cicero said so eloquently "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” So does that mean that if a man desires to live in society and is thus obligated to surrender his freedom in order to partake of the social contract,  he does not deserve this freedom? The vicious defenders of all things "Human Rights" would probably say "of course not, that's barbaric, prehistoric, archaic". The problem with that is the imprecise definition of what are Human Rights, and how they are gained, although the theory states clearly that HRs are all rights that are inherent and natural to man, gained only by the condition of being human, to which no one can renounce, reject, sell, and so on and so forth; when questioned what defines the extent of these the answer is simply, "a persons rights reach out indefinitely and are only limited when they invade some other persons rights". However, as is natural to all limits that enter in conflict (and limits are always in conflict, from tectonic plates to principles.), one will always in a certain way or moment prevail over the other. Now in legality the answer is to ponder among these rights to see according to the situation which prevails, but pondering is always, no matter how legal, subject to the personal formation of the judge in question.

A bit about me

I am a 19 year old girl in Medellín, Colombia. I am many things, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a Christian, a student and a teacher, a critic, an investigator and ignorant and a fool, as many people, there are no limits to who I am, and no precise definition, and not even the person who knows me best can define me, but that applies to everyone and everything that inhabits our planet. There are so many things going on in the world, and so limited is the human experience that I hope some of you might be able to enjoy a little insight on my experiences, some as anecdotes, others as insight and others just as expressions of what goes on in my mind. My intention is to be as honest as possible and as true to myself... My personal recommendation upon reading this is to not have any expectations, I am aware that isn't possible, but still, the more you open your mind and don't expect something specific the better your experience will be.
I find this applies to all things in life, the more you experience life with an open mind and think and break things down the more you learn.
I'm not a very scientific person, so there won't be much of that found around here (though you never know what might pop out), I tend to focus my thoughts on aspects of the social life (and I'm not talking about whether Joan Rivers thinks Snooki is a slut), I'm talking about what life is really about in the different societies I come across. I also have an interest in poetry (specially Latin American poetry, but a bit of other poetry too), literature, God, and a bit of art and gastronomy (but I'm no expert in any of these matters). I study law, so there might be a few characteristics in my writing that point to that. But as I said, please enter the expressions of my mind with as little prejudice as possible...

Yo soy una jóven de 19 años de Medellín, Colombia. Soy una hija, hermana, estudiante, profesora crítica, cristiana, ignorante y demás. Como todos los seres que habitamos este mundo no tengo limites ni deifinicón para mi ser, creo que todas las palabras me pueden identificar un poco. Este blog tiene el simple fin de expresarme y darles un vistazo a las experiencias que no pueden vivir en carne propia, pues son solo mías. Ruego entren en las expresiones de mi mente aqui planteadas con los menores prejuicios posible, no esperen nada y toso les sorprenderá, así como todo en la vida, este blog es mejor leerlo con la mente abierta. Mi enfoque al escribir es más bien social (y no hablo de la sección de farándula) me refiero a las diferentes expresiones de las diversas sociedades y comportamientos a las que me veo enfrentada. Pero no me limito a eso, también tengo un interés especial en la poesía, la literatura, la gastonomía y poco de las demás artes, aunque tengan en mente, no soy eperta en ninguno de estos temas. Al ser estudiante de derecho verán tal vez unos vestigios de ellos en mis producciones, pero como he dicho, suplico me lean con los menores prejuicios posibles
